Ed Murray (born March 27, 1958) is an American businessman and politician from the state of Wyoming. He is a member of the Republican Party.
==Career==
Murray graduated from the University of Wyoming College of Law.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Bellinghiere: Murray an excellent choice )〕 He operates an umbrella company, Murray Investment and Development, that contains 16 business entities. He is a developer and real estate investor.
In March 2014, Max Maxfield, the Secretary of State of Wyoming, announced that he would not seek reelection. Murray declared his candidacy for the Republican Party nomination in April.〔 Murray defeated three opponents and won the primary election in a highly contested race. Murray largely outspent all primary opponents and won by only 1,632 votes with less than 37% of the vote.Murray then defeated Libertarian Party nominee Howard Kit Carson and Constitution Party nominee Jennifer Young in the general election, receiving 77% of the vote in a state widely known to support Republican candidates.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Ed Murray Elected Secretary of State )
